Guided round tours Turkey – Meet the tour guide and drive to Bursa. Before we arrive there we will stop for lunch at ‘Kofteci Yusuf’ restaurant. Their specialty is meat balls. When in Bursa we will visit the Green Mosque, Green Tomb, Grand Mosque and Silk Market. Transfer to hotel, dinner and overnight in Bursa.
Bursa – Istanbul
After breakfast, drive back to Istanbul where we will visit the Blue Mosque. Sultan Ahmet I wanted to build a mosque that would rival and even surpass St. Sophia (Aya Sofya). The layout of the Blue Mosque is a classic Ottoman design. The forecourt has an ablutions fountain in its centre.
The portico around three sides can be used for prayer, meditation or study during warm weather. After we have lunch in a local restaurant, we will visit the Roman Hippodrome where horse chariot races and events were held. Our tour continues with a visit to Topkapi Palace (Topkapi Sarayi) – it was the residence of Ottoman sultans for almost four centuries and is Istanbul’s premier must-see attraction. Dinner at hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
